Administrative Assistant

Location: WBL Hardwoods Facility, 871 Alverda Rd., Nicktown, PA 15762

Bingaman & Son Lumber – Sawmill Division is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our WBL Hardwoods facility. The successful candidate will have data-entry, computer, and bookkeeping knowledge, with 3+ years of experience preferred.

Log Yard Assistant

Location: St. Marys Lumber, 153 Aviation Way, Saint Marys, PA 15857

Bingaman & Son Lumber, Inc., a growing wood products manufacturer, has an opportunity at our St. Marys Lumber sawmill for a Log Yard Assistant. This position supports daily log yard operations and works closely with the Log Scaler and Resale Yard Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Scale and grade logs (willing to train)
  • Prepare logs for resale (clip, saver, etc.)
  • Work with buyers during log purchases
  • Compile and reconcile log sale data
  • Sort and pile logs using loader or knuckleboom
  • Load containers and trucks
  • Operate and maintain a chainsaw
  • Assist inside the sawmill as needed
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Species identification and log grading knowledge a plus
  • Strong time management and math skills
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic
  • Computer and inventory software proficiency
  • Ability to operate knuckleboom and wheel loader
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to lift/move 50+ lbs
